Before lying becomes a habit...

Before reading this post, give me the next five minutes of your life, Insha Allah! Only when you have decided to do that, read ahead..

Ok, now let us try to be TRUE TO OURSELVES! Only for next 5 minutes that is! We are just gonna introspect ourselves, nothing much! So, are you ready? Are u going to be true to YOURSELF? Lets start...

When was the last time that you lied? Yeah, u have to answer yourself. Why did u have to lie? What was it that you could not speak the truth? Lying is a grave sin! We know and we can quote many narrations to support this fact. Then, why do we end up committing this sin, again n again?

You admit that you lie. Why do you lie? If you really do, which you know that you do, you are a coward! You are a greedy soul! Yes you are! Because, there are only two things that make us lie. Those are 1) Fear and 2) Greed. A person who is free from these two things, will never ever lie! He will find his throat being cut due to the sin coming out of it before he speaks it out! Why should the fear of anything make us commit the sin of lying? Is the fear of any damn thing on this earth more than the fear of HIM who created the earth itself? Greed! Greedy people do lie! But what do they want to accumulate here? Do they not know that the entire wealth present on this earth can't be even a small fraction of the unseen treasures present in the promised dwelling by the ONE who has warned against lying? Then why should someone lie to get something here?

Remember! ITs gonna end very soon! Very soon, very very soon, you will be infront of HIM! And this very small mistake of commiting this grave sin of lying may take away the eternal joys from us! Lets save ourselves before its too late, before lying becomes a habit!

Read it long before..But coudnt find time to Camly Sit and post a comment :P

Juz wanted to share & highlight the Following hadith and Verses from the Holy Quran Against Lying..

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“It is only those who believe not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allaah, who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are liars."
[al-Nahl 16:105]

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted with something, he betrays that trust.”

It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are three to whom Allaah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection and He will not look at them or praise them, and they will have a painful torment.” The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) repeated this three times. Abu Dharr said: “May they be doomed and lost, who are they, O Messenger of Allaah?” He said, “The one who lets his garment hang below his ankles, the one who reminds others of his favors, and the one who disposes of his goods by swearing a false oath.”

It was narrated that Hafsa ibn ‘Aasim said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘It is sufficient lying for a man to speak of everything that he hears.’”
(Narrated by Muslim, 5)

With regard to the meanings of the hadeeth and reports on this topic, they discourage speaking about everything that one hears. For usually a person will hear both true things and lies, so if he were to speak of everything that he hears, he would be lying, by telling of something that did not happen
